Sweepstakes Build Updates

This is our first update for the free sweepstakes guitar build. We wanted to show what we do immediately after receiving a commissioned build through our website. We take all of the technical specifications from the website and put them into an Excel spreadsheet. This spec sheet organizes all the specs starting from the headstock to the neck, then to the body and finally the components. The spec sheet also includes a mockup of the front and back of the guitar to help visualize the commissioned build.

This process is very important because it allows us to optimize the build according to what our customers are seeking to achieve in their guitar. More often than not, our customers will fine tune and tweak their specs during this process, so we highlight those particular specs in purple so we don't miss any important details. Once everything looks good, we ask our customers to sign the spec sheet as it gives us the confidence to move forward: as builders, we know what we're building and our customers know exactly what they're getting. 

Future updates will focus on the actual build... the body, neck, fretboard, assembly, set up and final product. Thanks for reading!

We fired up the old band saw and made some good progress on the woodworking recently.

- Drop Top Quilted Maple Cap gets steamed, glued and clamped to body

- Roasted Maple Neck and Fretboard blanks are selected
